We just purchased a van with the Farenheit MD-830 CM flip-down dvd player. We cannot figure out how to get the sound to work; the remote is missing, and there is no instruction manual. Does anyone know where I can purchase the remote and instruction manual? I tried the Farenheit website, but it looks like you have to purchase the whole unit.

Did you try tuning in to FM 88.7, this should pick up dvd audio

Try setting the radio to 89.1 FM...that is what worked for us. Good Luck!

Some dealers installed a modulator for the radio; look under your driver's side dash to see if there is a small on/off toggle switch. If there is, flip it 'on', tune the radio to 89.1 and you should get audio.

If they haven't installed this, no problem. You can buy a modulator from most electronic stores that is used to play MP3 players through the car stereo; instead of an MP3 player, simply plug the cable into the headphone jack of your DVD player.

Make sure that the FM transmitter is enable. Use the remote and select picture; the last item on the menu is the FM transmitter; use the arrow button on the remote to set it to on. You can also change the freq of the FM transmission using this same menu.
