I replace just the rf connector. You should be able to pick one up at you local repair center. If you did not damage the tuner which the jack will get solder'd into, you'll be ok.

My son tripped over the cable cord and the cable/antenna input came off. Is it repairable and is it costly to get it fixed

It depends if the connector broke the tuner it is attached to. Most times the chassis of the set would need to go into the shop. I would generally charge $80.00-$120.00 if the tuner was still good - a new tuner would cost $60-$100 more if bad
The better solution is to use the video audio inputs (if on satellite or cable box) or use the video inputs by changing channels through the VCR (if on cable or antenna and a VCR is available)

My cble connection is broke how can i replace it

In most cases, this requires soldering a new RF connector into place. Otherwise, the tuner will need replacing. Good luck.

Can't watch dvd

You need the original remote controller to be able to switch input modes.Universal ones don't work. If you don't have the original remote and can't find it ever then the only way to reach your tv is through coaxial antenna port. So you can buy an rf modulator ( very cheap) and connect your red yellow and white cables (rca cables from a dvd, game console etc) to the modulator then connect the modulator to your antenna with a coax cable. This worked for me. It placed the connection to channel 4 and other channels are still working,

You can buy the RF Modulator from: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180299245670

HDTV MODEL HD52WS9YX39 SERAL NUMBER 6116CNO13

please recheck your model# it should read HD52W59YX39 if this is the correct model the part # is 271850 cost $166.99
changing this part will cause major alignment
the part can be replaced - the RF part # is 215543 for $4.39 or the tuner can be changed part # 268904 cost $30.39
on another note if you are using a cable box or sat box there is no need to repair the rf hooke the tv up with rca plugs

Need directions to install a dch70 box to tv

dear woolifer ,
I am not an expert but i hope i can help you..
is it youmean digital cablebox?
if it is try this-

This is a problem a lot of people have with coaxial-only televisions because DVD players do not have coaxial (RF) outputs, which means they can't be connected directly into a television with only a coaxial (RF) input. The solution is to purchase a RF modulator, which is a small device that will convert the AV output from the DVD player to coaxial (RF).
As for the instructions, I am going to assume the DVD player is not a combo unit with the VCR, and that you want to record TV on your VCR. Step 4 will include connecting your DVD player, but if the DVD player is a combo unit with the VCR, just ignore step 4 part as DVD connection will be included in the VCR set up. Actually, you wouldn't need the RF modulator if it is a VCD/DVD combo unit.
  1. Connect the coaxial cable coming out from the wall to your digital cable box in the ‘video in’ slot. It might also be labeled ‘antenna in’ or ‘cable in’.
  2. From the cable box, connect a coaxial or composite (yellow video cable) and stereo (red-white) RCA audio cables to the VIDEO IN terminal on your VCR.
  3. From the VCR, you will have to connect this to the RF Modulator using a coaxial cable from the VIDEO OUT on the VCR to one of the IN ports on your RF modulator.
  4. You can now connect your DVD player to the RF Modulator by using the yellow-red-white composite/RCA cables from the VIDEO OUT on the DVD player to another port on the RF modulator.
  5. From the RF modulator, connect this unit to your TV by using a coaxial cable. It will be from the VIDEO OUT on the RF modulator to the VIDEO IN or CABLE or ANTENNA IN port on your television.
This should be all you need to get started watching your digital television. In simple terms here is what you did:
Coaxial from wall to cable box
Cable box to VCR
VCR to RF modulator
DVD player to RF Modulator
RF modulator to TV
You will only be able to record what is on channel
