I formated my computer Presario sr2011wm, and downloaded the LAN driver through another computer with a thumb drive. I installed it to the computer that I formated but it still cannot connect to the internet.
I see the Realtek isp but I don't see the 1394 adapter. I looked for the driver on other links but come back with the same driver. What can I do?
Hi. Try these simple steps:
Go to device manager
Right-click the realtek LAN and select uninstall
Restart your machine
Download and save this file in your flash drive:

Install it in your Desktop
Open Internet explorer and see if you're able to connect
Good Luck!

the 1394 should be firewire and not required for the internet. i would plug the ethernet cable straight into the modem, just for a minute to check that you aren't having a router issue. if it works, then you have some router settings to solve. if it doesn't, then it is likely you computer. the drivers you need are ethernet or lan adapter drivers, problem could be many places.
