Memory Card I just purchased a Jazz DV 179. It takes an SD memory card, but I cannot find out what size of memory crd will be compatible. Also I have a Mac and cannot download the disc. Can you help me please and thanks. My email is [email protected]
I just bought the Jazz dv-188, pretty much the same as the 179 and have a Mac also. I can't get the video to play on my Mac. Since it is USB it has to download into iPhoto instead of iMovie that wants a firewire connection. Are you able to get the video working, I can get the sound to work but not video. I have tried clicking and dragging, importing etc. email: [email protected]I just bought the Jazz dv-188, pretty much the same as the 179 and have a Mac also. I can't get the video to play on my Mac. Take the memory card out of your camera and look at it. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". Some include trying to use a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.
I have searched all over the place for an anwer to this without much luck.
My only suggestion would be to run it in compatibility mode for Windows xp and/or run the compatability wizard.
Click start> help and support > type in compatability wizard and it will bring up a list of options.
Click on compatability wizard and it will open.
Alternatively, find the file on your computer that won't load/run properly, right click and select "properties" then "compatability" tab and you can select what operating system to run it in.
Try taking out the battery and turning it around. Making
sure it's in correctly. Plug the USB cable in the back under the directional
pad. Pleas, rate me!Watch close for Dragonflies
Any card size will wour but make sure its compatable with your camers...and stay away from HD SD cards they will not work in this model!
That should fix ya!
When the SD Card is In the device, the internal memery is disabled. Remove cam from connection, remove SD Card, re-connect camera. This should Resolve you problem. Be sure to have the correct drivers loaded before accessing card or camera. Good Luck... DoLittle
Has another SD Card worked? is this the first you card you tried?
Be sure you have the correct type (size) SD card, there a couple of SD card types, micro (very small, etc.). It should go in only one way, does it fit and install easily? It should SNAP into placye.
A SD card is supposed to ONLY GO IN ONE WAY, the correct way.
It should SNAP in. Try to insert it in a different way very carfully.
