if you've forgotten the BIOS password, you'll have to check with IBM. Often, they have a way, usually a temp password like method that you can use to disable the BIOS password. for desktop systems, removing and reconnecting the coin-cell battery or a password reset jumper can be used, try to check the manual of your laptop if that applies to you as well.

The BIOS password is configured from the BIOS setup and this password is stored on an EEPROM chip. There is no backdoor password available and IBM/Lenevo support says the motherboard needs to be replaced. Also removing the BIOS battery to discharge the BIOS and reset it to the default settings will not allow you to bypass this password. This also applies to the Power On Password and the Hard Disk Password. There is a way to crack the password but you need electronic skills, electronic components and several programs plus a working computer to carry out this task. For details on how to do this check this WEB site. http://sodoityourself.com/hacking-ibm-thinkpad-bios-password/
You must be referring to the bios password or maybe the power on password. You can try taking out the yellow coin cmos battery located under the cover for the modem/wireless card/ bluetooth card bay. Unplug the wire and leave out for 24 hours or longer and this might do the trick. Make sure you unplug the computer and take any batteries out of the machine beforehand. If this does not work then you can always get a company to unlock it for you for a fee. Check ebay and you will see auctions based on the model of notebook you own. this is done in the BIOS advanced settings. To access the bios you must press the f key that flashs briefly as the computer boots up. the f key # varies from brand to brand. Watch the screen as the computer boots up, you should see it for just a few seconds. You may need the administrator password to access the bios settings if one was setup previously. If so you may have to contact the manufacturer for the procedure to reset/clear it.
please you need to reset its bios. open the screws behind your laptop with keyboard icons to access your laptop cimos battery with care remove it for some time(3min), power on your laptop until it boots up. turn it off and put the battery back. the password will removed.
There are 2 ways you can reset your bios. 1. On the motherboard there is a small watch battery. Remove this battery along with the power cable from the power supply. Hold down the power button to fully discharge the system. Wait 2-3 minutes then reinstall the battery and plug in your system. Your reset is now complete
2. Some motherboards have a 3 pin jumper by the battery. Lets say that the jumper is on pins 2 and 3. Remove the jumper while the machine is OFF and place onto pins 1 and 2. Power on your machine for a minute. (Note: Your system will not POST). Shutdown your machine and put the jumper back to pins 2 and 3. Your reset is now complete There might also be an option within the BIOS to "Load Defaults" if that is all you are looking to do please see this http://www.11a.nu/software/bios-pc-bios-security-and-maintanance-toolkit/ hope it helps!
