These all sound classic to power supply faults. Or, there may be a board that is pulling too much current due to something that has failed, and the power supply is in the protect mode.
You have to have the service rep check the set.

You need to reboot the tv. you've got a signal drop which locks up the tv. call sharp tech support and they will talk you through a reboot.

When I power the tv on it shuts off after a second or two and the "OPC" and "Power" lights keep blinking...
Our sharp aquos lc-46d62u is just over a year old and tonight both the power and the opc light are flashing...no picture and cannot turn the tv off. Satellite is working fine. We did no changes ???? Tried unplugging the tv (maybe reset) no luck... HELP??? May I add sharp is pretty useless for a help line after hours!!
TV will not turn on hear a click and then it goes off
I purchased a new LC-46D64U which worked great for about an hour. I turned it off and then tried to power it up the next morning only to find the green power light blinking once each second. Set will not turn on regardless of what I try. I expected more than this from Sharp!!!
I watched my TV at night and turned it off before I went to bed. Next morning when i tried to turn it on. I had the black scrren and it say Inout Video, but nothing shows just the black screen. And the green power and opc lights are blinking. does not do anything with remote or the button on TV. I paid $1400.00 last year so frustrated.
pwd and opc light blinking
Is anyone here willing to sell me their LC-46D62U HDTV? I realize that
your TV may not work, which is why your are viewing this page, but
that's okay, because mine is also broken. My LCD broke and I would like
to replace it with a working one from the exact same model HDTV, but
without paying full price. So if you have a broken LC-46D62U HDTV with
a working LCD, then I would be interested in buying the TV from you. I
live in Colorado, so the closer you are the better (I'm sure shipping
will be expensive). If this sounds like something you would be
interested in then you can reach me via email at
[email protected].
