Just bought this samsung lcd with a ps3. works fine with the ps3 and hdmi cable. signed up for comcast hd and connected via hdmi-dvi and got picture, but very poor sound via red/white audio cables. tv sound is very faint, but accompanied by loud high piched buzzing/humming. also tried connecting through component cable (red/blue/green) with red/white audio cable but ended with same result; also, hd box works fine when connected with regular "screw-in" cable (although regular tv quality and sound). also tried changing to new red/white audio cable, but didnt work. anyone help? new box maybe?

TV is Sharp Aquos LC80LE844U. All cables are High-speed HDMI. Cable box connects via HDMI to Marantz SR5006 amp - amp to TV via HDMI. TV Aquos Link is ON and ARC is set to Auto. Was working fine for over a year. Now intermittent problem will lost ability to adjut volume. TV partially responds in the I get the words Aquos audio and the speaker icon but no progress bar or volume number. When this happens, the adjust volume on the cable remote, TV remote, and TV volume control all produce the same result. The display of the speaker icon confirms that the TV recognizes the attempt, but the volume does not respond or show the progress bar. Have replaced remote gatteries, the HDMI cable from the amp to TV, have tried turning off and back on amp and TV - nothing works. Also intermittent - turning off TV at end of day does not turn off amp. Interestingly, this has worked for nearly two years, and only last 2 months have had problem. According to Sharp, the firmware is current and not changed in 1 year. Other symptom of commands not making it to amp are turning off equipment sometimes fails to power off amp, yet it has never failed to start upon power on TV. Sharp tech is as puzzled as I am. Any ideas?
