Boards can run 250 - 400.00 on average. You may be better off just repairing the board parts for around 65.00

Projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Here are more details and solutions for both. Repair kits with instructions are also avail from www.TvRepairKits.com
Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone out
Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.
This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.
Common Symptoms include....
Screen looks 3D
Colors don't line up
One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed or warped.
TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.
Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.
a LOT of these have and develop bad solder connections on the Power supply printed circuit board. Follow the power cord inside (unplug set first) and remove the board and examine it for broken or poor solder connections.
I have seen several of these with this problem and I usually just resolder most of the board up and have a working set.
First thing you may want to do is to remove the back cover, then take a voltmeter and test connection where the power supply wires meet the main circuit board. See if there is power. Chances are there is not. There should also be a fuse next to it. The glass bus fuse should have a very thin wire running all the way across the fuse. If both components turn out ok, then check the lamp socket to see if there is power to the light bulb. If no power to the bulb, check the high voltage transformer and flyback. A service manual would be handy but do cost a little $.
If there is power to the bulb socket, but bulb is not lighting, then it is time to change the bulb
if you know anything about the tv, take off the back and remove the power supply board. Reflow or resolder the solder points, takes like 2 hours, but is well worth it as my tv works fine now. make sure to use rosin core solder and good luck
Hey im not one of the techy guys with tv's im a computer guy.
but i have that same pioneer set you have the 510-HD and i had a similar if not the same problem.
my ex-father in law is a tv repair guy he told me to resolder the power board connections that looked corroded. i did just that and problem solved. hope this helps you out
FYI make sure you use rosin core solder not acid core good luck
since your tv is 6yrs old it could be that the video circuit has cold solder that needs to be resolder if that does not work then a focus on the video circuit by replacing the component there, it could be an ic or transistors or diode.if you are not a tech get one to look at your set.good luck.for further help email me at [email protected]
