Sony big screen 5 blinking standby lights

Sony kp-57wv700 has 5 standby blinking lights is there an easy thant can prevent me having to have some guy come out here and charge me hundreds of dollars for a simple repair. i would really appreciate any help. thanks.

5 blinks is a white balance failure here are the most possible causes.

Video OUT (IC9101, IC9201, IC9301)
is faulty. (CR, CG, CB Board)
CRT drive (IC452) is faulty.
(A Board)
G2 is improperly adjusted.**

Let me know when TV warms up does it go to standby?
If yes, standby light would be blinking, let me know how many times it blinks?
And if TV does not go to standby mode, does picture remain with red tone?

Hi,
     According to the LED BLINKING there must be some problem that are given below:

Diagnosis item:  Video out abnormality detection

TIMER/STANDBY
Indicater
Number of blinks:  
5 times


Supposed malfunction:  Video out, IC7101, 7201, 7301 and others in C board circuit.
Q510,516,524 (A board)

Condition:TIMER/STANDBY LED blinks approx. 30 seconds,
and then blinks for the self diagnosis.

So, This was the result of 5 times led blinking.I would suggest you to please contact any expert or strongly recommend to contact any SONY SERVICE CENTRE for repair because it's not an easy job to rectify this problem. Hope you better understand my sayings.

Sony projecting tv kp-57wv700

Based on service manual info, it cant blinks 7 times as per symptoms, please count again blinks. It can be 5 times.
If its 7 times blink, Horizontal Deflection stopped in this case. If you want to repair it at your own, please let me know to guide you further but it is necessary you should have knowledge of electronics.

Sony KP-57HW40

FIVE Blinks---AKB circuit (AKB), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about
30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with
the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C
board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. Also unit be in IK blanking,
try turning up screen slightly.
