How can you reset nextar p7 nav unit - Nextar P7 GPS Receiver

You can find SD cards for a number of different retailers. I have used Amazon before, you can also do a Google search to find probably 30 different vendors that have these cards. Average price is about 50 cents US per Gigabyte of size.

You can update the firmware from:

You simply need to locate the little reset button and press that for a few seconds, this will reset the unit back to factory fresh. Your user manual is below.

There are two things to try.

First try a unit reset. The process for doing a reset should be in the user manual near the back under trouble shooting. A reset will force it to reload the software. If it has become corrupted this will clear it on some units.

Next go to Nextar and look for a update or system patch. These are not the maps but the operating system patches. Usually these replace all the files and routines and fix things like your error. However the patches are not always available until well after a problem shows up. You should also contact Nextar support and see if they can help with either the patch/update or if you need help doing a hard reset.

If it is under warranty you can just send it in or exchange it. You may need to check with where you purchased or Nextar to find out if you are covered.If it is out of warrenty be careful as repairs can cost more than a new unit.

I have the same proble, just push one or two time around the right bottom corner of the screen and it should proceed to the next step.
It works for me.

download upgrade and gps is now showing US maping instead of canadian maps how do i revese this.

Try tapping the lower right corner of your screen and see if this will solve the problem! If this doesn't work, i can't help!

tap right hand lower corner of screen to get it to continue loading. I then upgraded the firmware to the P7 and I no longer have any problems with the unit... and it runs faster.

I had this problem and had to tap the right bottom part of the screen to get the proper screen to come up and just go from there!! You may have to do this each time when you use your GPS. Hope that this will solve your problem!
