Hi! The motor pulley may be worn and cant turn properly causing the motor to be forced so much. The result will be an instant overheating that results to belt burn too. You will need to replace the motor, pulley and the belt now to make it running. Hope this helps and have a good one!
The motor is running. That is confirmed that motor is fine. But the wires from motor has to be checked.the motor connections are getting short and this is causing the plastic belt to burn.Check the motor as well as its connection.
thanks.

The top "pully" has three groves, The belt is in the third grove to the right of the outside manual knob. In that grove the belt is out of alignment. Could this be part of the problem?
