Question about Husqvarna Designer I
I am trying to EMBROIDERY onto a patch that will be sewn onto a jacket. my problem is that i can't seem to get the name center on the tag. i have the husqvarna designer 2 .
Print out your embroidery design and cut this out around the perimeter of the hoop grid. Pin to your material where you want the design to be. Hoop stabilizer only. Place your fabric/paper design sandwich on top of the stabilizer, being sure to get the cross hairs lined up with the notches on the hoop. Pin fabric as close as you can get to the edge of the hoop, or use spray temporary adhesive, or double-sided tape around the outside of the stabilizer also works great. Load design onto machine and put on the hoop - paper still attached. Turn handwheel so that the needle enters the paper at exactly the centre - adjust hoop position if necessary. Remove paper template, use Fix to baste fabric to stabilizer, and sew the design. I actually prefer to cut the paper template fairly close to the design and use chalk cross hairs on my fabric to line it all up. The good thing about doing it this way is that you don't have to re-hoop if it is off-centre - just pull the fabric off the stabilizer (that's why temp. adhesive is easier than lots of pins) while the needle is down in the centre, and manouevre it to where you want it before basting down.
