Slow connection

your internet may be slow due to following reasons
- Your ISP (internet service provider) may be having issues with routing signals to you.
- Your browser memory cache is so full, your browser has to slow down to allow for its limited hard drive space.
- You might have spyware/malware infecting your machine, and secretly using your Internet bandwidth.
So You need to optimize browsers and internet connection.
- First of all update the browser
- Disabling The Firewall
- Remove unwanted tool-bars and plug-ins
- clear temp files
- Deactivate background running services
If you are unable to perform above tasks then use a single utility tool like PC Fresher that will not only fix windows errors but will also optimize Internet

Computers have limited connection to linksys wrt54g although signal is full strength

Limited connectivity
If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on you wireless connection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptop probably did not get an IP address from the wireless router.
To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and then click Repair.
This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless card on the laptop.
Also try resetting the wireless router by turning off the power to the wireless router for a few minutes and the boot up your computers.

I'm unable to identify the negative and positive wires of an General Electric air conditioner which has blue and brown, and of course I know the green is for earth. I need help on how to connect these to...

This info almost gets me to feeling positive on the connections. Might see if you can have them send you or direct you to a matching wiring diagram. SOunds like you have 3 wires - blue, brown and green. SO on 240 the blue and brown would connect to the fuse or breaker and then the green would go to the ground bus bar

Wireless inop says its connected showing full green bars on pc , but wirelees speed is 1.0 mbps

In case there are many WiFi signals in your area, try changing Belkin's channel at another one, because it's limiting down the speed in order to keep the connection alive.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

Unable to have internet connection with my desktop that is connected to HomePortal (1800HG) by USB but my laptop can connect to internet that is attached to Local Ethernet Connection port; the three green...

Oh my ... This is a question where I dont have to ask for more information.

Pleae connect your desktop to the router using a Cat 5 ethernet cable. I'm not a fan of USB connection for networks ... Ethernet works so much better. Do this even if you have to add a NIC to your computer.

You may find some benefit from using Network Magic, free to download and evaluate. You may like it as much as I do and pay for full extended use NM can perform all your network administrator duties. (I have 5 interconnected networks in my house that connect more than 20 computers)

Thanks for using FixYa.com
