I have the same problem with the red hot water valve. Thanks for sharing!

Seems this is their main defect.

I also have the same problem with the oster water dispenser unit, where the hot water just drips and drips even if i turn it off. I called oster and they really did not want to help me at all. they told me to just clean the machine. I cannot resolve the problem, so i recommend not to buy these water dispensing machine from oster. M.weston

I have the same problem!!! The safety lock broke and then the RED handle broke, so I took it apart to get to the spigot handles (cutting the knuckle off of my index finger on the sharp housing trying to get the top off!!!) and when I pulled the spigot assembly apart the rubber interliner got a small tear in it which caused a continuous drip that drained the last of the water all over the kitchen floor! Thank god I did not replace the bottle or the mess would hve been 5 gallons worse!!!
Thanks for the number for customer service!!! We can't find our original paperwork!

August 2011 - very accurate info, now total cost is $14.35 but still cost less than replacing cooler.

Fast forward to 2011, and the problem with the bad design of the hot water valve remains. I have to refrain from buying this brand in the future.

Hello. My G.E. Monogram water dispenser trickles water after we get water from it. We have to keep a cup there to catch the excess water. How do I fix it so it stops as soon as we get water out of t

Try replacing the Water Valve. It is located in the back of the refrigerater, left side. You should see three tubes connected to it. This part fixes the following symptoms - Leaking water, Water dispenser will not dispense water, Ice maker will not make ice and Ice maker won't dispense ice. GE part#WR57X10032. The Water Valve is extreemly easy to replace. Only takes about 15 mins total time to remove, install and confirm. I just replaced problem went from leaking water to no water was dispensing at all. I have the GE Profile, it uses the same water valve as your GE Monogram. There is a You Tub video that also shows how to replace. Good Luck!

I have an insinkerator hot water dispenser with stainless steel tank, and the tank is now leaking. I'm wondering if it can be fixed or needs to be replaced

Replace water heater if tank wall is leaking.
These things have short warranty period.
Stainless steel will theoretically last longer, but steel tank water heaters have replaceable anode rod to prevent rust-out.

Be sure to recycle the old metal.

The problem sounds as if either the tubing to the water valve in the back is cracked or disconnected from the valve so the water is leaking onto the floor instead of into the i/m or door dispenser.

Doe s anyone knows how to charge R12 Ge model

Keep looking for the access on the high and low side. Some of the valves look a little different but you should be able to find where to hook the gauges. R12, R22, and 134a all charge the same way and use the gauges and hoses. just make sure you have pressure temperature chart.
I hope this helps

Water dispenser not working on door

That should not be a hard to fix problem . On rear of your refrigerator you have a set of two control valves. Part number WR57X10032 and it has two sides one for ice maker and the other for water dispenser. You can unplug the water dispenser plug and test for 120 volts while someone presses dispense water. If you get voltage and valve does not open just replace complete valve. Sea Breeze

Water dispenser is not working

You have two points where you can check the dispenser water. At the rear where the water supply comes in is the water inlet valve. If you disconnect the dispenser water line and then if the water comes out when you try the dispenser. You should hear the valve work when you try the dispenser. If you don’t hear it there is a dispenser actuator switch problem. If you do hear it but water doesn’t work here there is a valve or water supply problem. If it's normal, disconnect it at the bottom of the freezer door and try again. If it's normal here it may be frozen in the door. If this is the case open the door till it thaws. A blanket over the opening will prevent thawing of all the food.

Ice maker does not make ice.

The water dispenser and the ice maker use a different side for each one. The water control valve is most likely the problem. To test the ice maker fill with tap water and let freeze. If the ice dumps then the water valve is the problem. If you need part numbers I will need your model number. Thank you Sea Breeze

I have a GE side by side stainless steel refrig. the water will not dispense. How can I fix it?

Is there water to the water valve in the rear of the fridge? If yes, replace the water filter if older than 6 months or if you're on a well. You may need an inline water filter behind your fridge in addition to the one in the fridge to protect the water valve. If no, turn on the water. If you're making ice but no water dispense and you have a new water filter. Replace the water valve.
