Emachine T5234 beeps 5 times and won't turn on

5 Short BeepsYour motherboard is complaining. Try reseating the memory and rebooting. If that doesn't help, you should consider another motherboard. You could probably get away with just replacing the CPU, but that's not too cost-effective. Its just time to upgrade!

Im trying to reboot an emachines E620 to factory mode, but dont know how to do it.

You can click on "Start", then "All Programs", then click on "eMachines" and look for the "eMachine Recovery Management".

You will be able to select creating a Restore CD, Backup your files or just restore your computer back to when it was manufactured.

After selcting "Restore", follow the prompts and the computer will reboot and reinstall you Vista operating system.

Remember to back up your files you have created first, as they will not be saved as well as any programs you may have installed yourself.

Good Luck

How do i reboot emachines

Hi! Welcome to www.fixya.com.
  • Turn on your computer. Right away there will be a black screen. You can restore factory settings without a CD, too. This will reset your BIOS.Press F1 when the black screen appears; you will enter the setup configuration mode. You will be presented with a menu.Select Restore Factory Defaults. Your computer will do all the work for you. As with the CD, this process may take several hours.

I have an emachine t5022 that stalls and has to be rebooted every now and then (new problem) and now it simply turns itself off for no reason (once in a while) then comes back up as if I just turned it on.

You have a problem with a program that is running in the background it takes all the power and freezes the pc.
If it wants more than the pc can give it it will crash it and the pc will automatically restart.
Open Task Manager and keep an eye on the Processes - the one that will top 99% is the culprit so uninstall it.

I dont thing this is a virus problem but a heat problem. if you dont mind getting inside the box see how clean it is and put your hand on the power box case .. then unplug all the hardware except the mother board then turn the unit on, if it goes on then plug 1 hardware at a time.

Emachine restore back to factory settings

Just remove the battery for about five minutes and re insert. All you have to do after you reboot is reset the time and date.

There something problem in your PSU, you need to check the power supply of your system, if hard for you then you can let repairman do it, or replace that with a new one.
