I will assume that the B1184 is marked on the transistor itself. If that is the case, you need a 2SB1184. This should be available from just about any electronics parts supplier. These will run about 75 cents each.

HOW TO CHANGE THE VENTURER PVS 1371 PORTABLE DVD PLAYER TO REGION FREE

  • Press the OPEN button and keep the tray open
  • Press code 3597
You will now be in a hidden menu system
  • Navigate manu to select Region Code and select Region 9
  • Press Enter
    Press Menu to Exit
  • Confirm Region change by pressing ANGLE then DISPLAY (still with tray open) and you will see a long string of letters and numbers ending with R9. (if successful).
  • Power off.
The "venturer" pvs 1371 is marketed under several brand names in different chain stores, not surprising that it was hard to find, it is also 'durabrand' 'pacific' 'Lennox' 'Alco' 'funai' 'Emerson' 'Sylvania' 'Symphonic' 'Orion' 'Maxell' 'Resonance' 'Initial technologies' in various incarnations, and not all the manufactuer's rebranded items are available in each brand, and not all of each brand are from the same manufacturer
