Have two desktop pc's, both of which are using Windows XP. They have no problem logging onto the wireless network. Granddaughter has a laptop that uses a Mac operating system. The laptop is courtesy of our local school which has a policy that states every Jr. High student will have use of a computer. She is unable to log on to the wireless network.
My questions is: Is the Mac operating system compatible with the Linksys RangePlus WRT100 wireless router?

Did you try booting into safe mode? if not? try taht.. press f8 before xp bootscreen appear and select safe mode..if you can log onto your pc using safe mode.. click start>run and type msconfig and press enter.. a window will appear, click startup and check if there are any suspicious applications that are enable..uncheck it.. and run a full system scan with your antivirus..once done, restart your computer with the normal process..see if it works..good luck!
when i try to go to the big "e" you know, to get on the internet, it freezes up, and you can't close out, you try to just go again, and that one freezes up too. The only way to get it off is to restart the computer, and that may or may not work. does anybody have any idea what that could be?
Try logging into the router with your desktop hard-wired and find the 25-digit passcode and use that to log on to the wireless network with the laptop. If not, then check if connection is good by hard-wiring the router to the laptop. Let me know what happens or if you have solved the problem.
Let me guess you type in your password and user name it then logs off. Have you check the recharger it may not be you laptop but the power plug not connecting there for you laptop had ran out of battery. Check recharger as I had the same problem and I replaced the plug recharger and it worked fine.

if you have windows 98 boot disk put that in, the firt thing you do is to go to f-disk and change the partions in it, then format c: drive. take out disk in A drive put in New windows XP CD and restart. the disk will run and install itself. and thats it. right now your partions are set to read only windows 95, 98, there are 2 options to choose from I belive the one you need is 32.
