I was checking some of the files on my usb. When it became unresponsive I rebooted it. After doing so, my usb ports wouldn't recognize any usbs(camera, printer, etc.) I kept trying and I got them to work but the flash drive doesn't. The computer doesn't recognize it even though it's plugged in.I've already checked on My Computer but there's nothing there. Please help

Hi. If your saying that you're USB is not being recognize by your computer then you should try that USB on a different machine and try if its working there, and if yes the problem is with your computer you just need to update the drivers on your computer to recognize your USB, and if not I think the USB has the hardware issue. Hope This Helps

My mp3 player keeps rebooting while connected to my PC. Its recognized by the pc and i can transfer/sync files just fine. But it randomly reboots and sometimes in the middle of sync'ing. could it be a usb...

Yes, It sounds like a USB problem. I have a PDA and this was happening to me. Now I have to plug my PDA into a USB port on the back of my computer to keep it Synced up.. Try a port on the back. These ports have more power available to power these devices.

Unresponsive

have you placed the usb cable into another port, if not do so and see if this works.

another thign is to try a new USB cable to see if there is an issue with it. Check the rear of the unit to make sure the usb mini port is not damaged.

When reconnecting it to the computer does the computer recognize the drive and installs it? if so and there is no drive letter, you can right click my computer/computer and click manage. from there you can use the disk managment to set a drive letter. From here you can also check to see if there is a conflict in device manager.

My keyboard and my mouse for my Acer Aspire 8550 are unresponsive. I have tried rebooting the PC, but to no success. It is only a few months old. I can attached my PS2 USB Mouse to the PC, but nothing...

Hi, this might help you:

This is not so easy, and depends on how skilled you are in configuring pc's, but here i go:

go to Control panel> system>system properties> device manager

in this screen you can find information about stuff like what devices are recognized by your pc.

try and seek wether your ps2 devices are recognized an if so, if the system can control them to.

if not it might also be your usb ports or similar ports that aren't decently controled and por recognized by your pc, so make sure they work fien to by trying other devices on the same ports.

I hope this is useful, and greets.

No source identified, no transfer

First. reboot the computer. If you leave your computer on all the time, an occasional reboot will often clear up an unresponsive program and "sharpen the teeth" so-to-speak. If you've done this, try going directly from USB cable to the camera. If it is still unresponsive, try plugging into a DIFFERENT USB port on the computer. If you've done all of this with the same cable, try using that cable and camera on a different computer. If it is unresponsive there, you may suspect the cable as being bad. Try a different cable. If you're still having issues, suspect that the USB port in the camera has gone bad and have a reputable repair shop take a look at it.
