Wirelss unconnect often

We installed pre-N wireless router some months ago.
Several times a month wireless network unconnect occurs that requires many times of power plug off and on to recover. The wireless router is not recognized even by a PC physically next to the the router.
In many cases the recovery takes hours.
While the wireless is not functioning, all wire ports are functioning.
I think the repair or replacement is necessary, please advice where I sent back this router and how long it will take to get replacement or repaired.

It sounds like your wireless is dying. the best bet is to go buy a new wireless router. dont buy belkin. and watch which linksys's you buy.

the place you bought this from isnt going to try to repair a wireless router, as the motherboard inside is the main source of problems. unless you have a warranty on this that is active, in which case you just take the router back to the store you got it from. tell them your problem and they'll replace the router

You can see network key by logging in to router settings. Some routers are 192.168.1.1 and some are 192.168.0.1. All you have to do is type it in to address bar on any browser and log in and under wireless tab it will give you field where it says wep or wpa encryption and this is what you need. Hope this helps.

My WUSB54GSC network adapter worked Ok for six months but now keeps saying limited or no connectivity. Tried unin stalling and resetting. Hasn't worked - same problem keeps coming back.

If the wireless security on the router is enabled, then the pre-shared key or encryption key on the router and PC should match.

You will need to check the settings on the wireless router to confirm this.

Wirelss router not working

I don't think it needs to be replaced. have you installed the installation disk that came with it, if so

if you have windows
1. go to my computer
2. click on the my network places tab on the left panel
3. then click set up a wireless network for a home or small office
4. then jut follow the wizard set by set.

if that doesn't work, make sure your computer's wireless adapters are able to pick up your router's N broadband signals. if not you might need to go out and buy wireless N adapters for all your computers.

I just installed the Dlink wbr-1310 wireless router on my computer. I have a dell dimension desktop that is hard-wired (cat5 or 6 cable) directly into the router's #1 port. Previously, the broadband...

Get rid of AOL network magic. I'm not familiar with either but I do know it's designed to help people who have no idea how to setup a home network. Log on to the routers cofiguration page and look at the router status to determine what the issue is. i.e is the router dropping the internet connection or is the router not connecting properly to your computers? If your using static IP addresses then you will need to re-configure these for the new router. Start by switching back to dynamic IP on all devices connecting to the router. It may always be a firmware issue with the router. If these steps don't work try updating the firmware (there should be an option in the config page (192.168.1.1)

Wireless connection drops

What you need to do with this problem is to have the router "dell wireless 2350" is to update the firmware or software of this router. You may contact Dell support to ask for the firmware or go to www.dell.com and look for the model number of your router and download the firmware of the said router.

Hope this works for you.

I don't have wireless network on acer aspire4715Z

The Aspire 4715 comes with Wireless OPTIONAL. Your system obviously wasn't bought with a pre-installed wirelss card. If you want to go wireless, you will need to buy a wireless card/adaptor seperately.

Wireless connection works and then disconnects itself

look for a program on the web called Net Stumbler
It should be here http://www.stumbler.net/
That will show the signal level from your router.
I have seen this before and it could be several different problems
1. Someone else on your channel
2. Burned out ant or output section in the router
3. Broken Ant wire in laptop

Hope this helps
