TV WONT TURN ON

To open its child lock, you might have its original remote control. Try these methods. Locate the manual for your television. I have a magnavox 27MS343S and it is child locked, tv is off and do not have the original remote and it wont turn on although the powered up red lighht is on. Tv has been reset to sleep mode by universal remote. What can be done?

I bought a universal remote from kmart today to try and access my tv menu to turn child lock off but all buttons are locked i need help

What brand is your universal remote? Best thing would be to go on the universal remote manufactures website and they should have a list of codes for models based on what model number your universal remote is. Then you can look up possible codes for your tv found in the users manual (which you can print from online) and it gives you like 5-7 codes that you try and will give you instructions on how to enter the code and save that code to your remote. OMG it worked my tv was locked on child safety for 1 month you have to get any universal remote and try all the codes mine was 0224

take ur tv to a local tv repairman, they will have a magnavox remote. use it and simultaneously press tv/av and enter

you will need your original remote control and go through the menu to unlock it. find your original remote control by typing in your TV model number in the search on www.replacementremotes.com and your original remote will pop right up. very easy to use.
