No power to my wii. outlet is good.

1. Check if the power cord has been properly connected to the power outlet.
2. Check if the main power has been switched on.
   (DVD player's power supply transformer could be burned out)

3. test the power outlet wall see the diagram
4. do not use the r.control use the power button directly from TV.

This probably didn't happen, but my guess is that, when the sudden power was restored, the Wii console took too much and fried the circuts. This can happen on on computers, but I'm not sure about gaming consoles. This can be prevented with a surge protector, a device with several power outlets and a switch for power protection. If the warranty on your Wii is still present (I think it lasts 1-4 years) you can send it in to Nintendo for repairs (or if they can't repair it, they'll send you a brand new one).

are you sure that the wii is not dead?

how long was it on 4 cuz even though its on hibernation mode u still shouldnt of kept it on from morning till night

Unplug the ac adapter from the outlet and your wii and just let it sit for about 5 minutes then plug it back in.

ask the electrition in the area to check the fuse box incase you blew a fuse [you might have]

Try unpluging the power cord from the wii and the wall for 5 mins to reset the brick on the cord.

Unplug everything! There is a "breaker" in the power supply and it may need to be reset. Just unplug all cables from the TV and outlets. Let it sit for a couple hours then plug everything back in and it should work fine. If not then the power supply has shorted out due to a strong power surge. You can claim it under your home owners insurance or call Nintendo and try to get it replaced. Thanks! Good luck and happy gaming!!

This happened to me this morning....we had a storm last night and turned off the TV which the Wii was plugged into....so break all contact with things that the Wii was plugged into....try unplugging EVERYTHING from all outlets, TV etc....let it sit for a few and try it again...it started right up for me
