I believe you are having a compressor start component failure problem. It is best to not leave the refrigerator plugged in while this is happening, as the problem could also damage the compressors internal overload. I could tell you the part numbers, but to not check the compressor windings first would be a mistake. If you would like my assistance let me know, Sea Breeze

Maytag lock and filter change
to reset the change filter light:
Press hold the LIGHT and LOCK pads until the CHANGE FILTER light blinks (approx. 3 sec.)
Dispenser lock:
to interrupt power to the water and ice dispenser so it cannot be used , press the lock pad 3 times within 10 seconds.
