If you mean photos stored on a 31/2 inch floppy disk and your laptop does not have a 31/2 inch floppy drive, then borrow a cpmputer that has a 31/2 inch floppy drive, copy the photos from these disks to an USB memory stick so you can then copy them to your computer. OR You maybe able to get your friend or computer shop to fransfer photos from your disks to a USB memory stick or burn then to a CD or DVD disc and you can then copy them to your computer.
Check to ensure that the slide to the window of the floppy drive. that the disc is read is not damaged. If it is not straight it interferes with the entry window. If it is a 3.5 inch disc, I would recommend you upgrade to a flash(USB) disc. 3.5 discs do not have much space in comparison and are kinda getting outdated.
I am not sure if I understand, but in the second statement you said that you have another large computer with large and small disc drives. Can you still open up the 5.25 inch foppy discs, and save it to that computer, and later extract it off using 3 inch floppy?
Take the floppy disk with the writing on the top side and insert it into your floppy drive (typically it will be your A: / drive).....This will work if it’s a USB or an internal floppy drive.....I hope this helps cbinny1
Sure >does the drive appear in "My Computer" >if Yes right click on it and see if you have it enabled >If yes when you put a floppy in does the light flash or can you hear any sound from the floppy drive > if yes try a different floppy > still not working > Control Panel+performance maintenace+ system+device manager+hardware >click on disk drives and see if the floppy drive is there >if yes select the general tab and see if it is enabled.
