Per Avanquest: We have found out that this randomly happens due to an interruption in saving the data in MyInvoices and Estimates Deluxe version 10. We recommend that you do the following steps:
Go to the Task Manager.
On the Applications tab, click on MyInvoices and Estimates.
Click on End Task.
Relaunch MyInvoices and Estimates.
Create a new invoice/estimate and save it.

Yes there is a way but it's too time consuming for me to explain it in text. Anyways, I will give it a try. Kindly give me following more information.
1. Do you wan't both the computers to be on internet.
2. What is the format and folder in which your invoices and estimates are saved.
3. Who generates these invoices and estimates. yourself or you download it from somewhere else.
The easiest solution to this problem is to run this program in Virtual PC, XP Mode. Here is the link for the download: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx . Invoices and Estimates Pro now works perfectly for me. Another solution is to download another PDF writer to your hard drive. Instead of choosing "create PDF" or "email" for your document, choose "print", select your new PDF writer, and then save the document to a file OUTSIDE the program. You can then access the file outside the program, print it or email, whatever you need to do with it. Both of these solutions fixed my "error code 8" problem, or at least made the software usable for me. The techs at Nova told me there was no solution to my problem.
After emailing Nova Deveolment I played with the Invoices & estimates software. I was able to open a new invoice by: Clicking on the "paid" invoices folder and then clicking "New".
