Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there might be a problem with your sound or video device. Try installing an updated device driver.

Hello,
You can go to start - run - type dxdiag then wizard will come up, in that you may go to sound tab, in it, if the text direct sound button is not selected, you can go to system tab and see system manufacturer and download relevant sound driver from the internet.
In that sound tab text direct sound button is selected, you can click it and if you can hear this sound, the problem is with your speakers. If you have any problem you can post it to my email address. [email protected]
Try to solve the problem,
Nelan

Logitech z-340 speakers

These speakers just plug into your sound output mini-jack. No "speaker" driver is required, just drivers for your sound card. I'll bet those are already installed.

I have acer al1917w A monitor but no sound

There is no sound driver, they are speakers, they work off of the audio output jack on the back of your PC, on the motherboard. If you have the sound drivers installed for the motherboard, and no sound, then you have plugged the monitor audio cable into the wrong jack on the PC, or you have the settings wrong just as MIKE said above.
