hello, turn the power on then press and hold the standby button on the front of the ps3 you will hear 1 bleep then 2 short bleeps after the short bleeps release the button it should reset the ps3
fingers crossed it should work
If youe not getting the menu scren you my have a software or hardware problem first try a different video cable first, if that is not it you may have to send the PS3 in to sony's refurbish program, it will cost you $150.00 to do this
PS3 is one of the most amazing gaming device but like other competitor gaming
devices (Xbox and Wii) It also has some problems like No Display Problme. You
may check out the informative blog post at PS3
Whilst the machine is turned on, plug in the usb to the wireless controller and the PS3 should detect it and ask you to press the ps button (center of controller). Do this and you should get a menu, select RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS, and you will have to input time, date etc but it does get machine working again - previous data is lost and you may need to keep trying as machine took several attempts to detect wireless controller - just persevere!!! I tried pressing buttons etc, switching off but nothing else worked for me ... Hope this helps
