Give it time to warm up like another 10 to 15 mins i find put a tv guide channel on the screen stays pretty much the same picture, then leave the TV on" i use a 4 hour rule if i dont view in 4 hours or more i will close tv power
Sounds like your regulator ic is about to go, not an expensive repair but you have a good thought about buying a new set. If your fluid has never been changed I bet it's due also. Give the choice serious thought.
I have a 40 but i was having the same problem. It turned out to be my lamp. I got a brand new lamp from Projector Lamp Services (relampit.com) and my tv works fine now. Im pretty sure that the 40 and the 60 take the same lamp. You might want to give them a call.
Hey there I think the problem is coming from your LCD chips not your bulb, the bulb has nothing to do with the color or skwiggly lines it just shoots out white light, your LCD chips are burnt and the problem will not stop by changing your light bulb you need to replace the OPTICAL BLOCK the skwiggly line will just get worst with time
hope this helps
is this a rear projection tv? a table top one? how old is it because if it's over a few years old, then it sounds as if the bulb may be going out but without having more info, it's hard to give an accurate advice.. please let me know if this helps..
