Computer can't find buil-in webcam in dell 1525

Hello.

Go to Start - Control Panel - System - Device Manager. Under Imaging Devices, see if Laptop Integrated Webcam is listed. If listed and there is a yellow "?" or "!", the webcam driver is probably faulty and needs to be updated.

You probably have a Creative Technology Ltd. webcam (I also have a Dell 1525). Go to Creative Technology's website and download the driver or go to Dell's website, find your model and webcam driver and download and install.

If the webcam is not listed or is not present after the webcam driver is installed, then the webcam itself may need to be replaced.

Hope this resolves your problem.

How to turn on webcam in my dell inspiron 1525. but i have default cam driver installed in os. tell me the solution.

Is the webcam being recognized in Control Panel/Device Manager - under 'Imaging Devices'?
Have you tried reinstalling the webcam drivers/software you might have received with the laptop?
You can download the latest versions from the Inspiron 1525 from this link Drivers and Downloads

The Dell 'Webcam Manager' software is listed under 'Applications', and the drivers are listed under 'Input Device Drivers' (integrated webcam).
Select the appropriate OS version (i.e. Vista 32bit), download and install those two (drivers first)

Note: When you click the respective download links, don't use the Dell Download Manager!! It's known to cause various problems. Use the 'download in internet browser' option instead.

I have a dell inspiron 1440 windows 7 32bit. The integrated webcam is not working offline. It only works when the internet is up. I downloaded Dell Webcam Central and the drivers in dell.com/support but...

Download the Vista32bit driver for the webcam to your local drive. Then goto the Manage-DeviceManager-from the list of devices uninstall the earlier driver for the webcam and right click on it,Select Disable. Then install the driver which you download from DELL.COM, manually. Before the installation check the driver,it is digitally signed.

How do i make it work i cant find any way to make my web cam work

Please try installing the driver and see if that resolves the issue. You must select your operating system before you proceed. Webcam driver is located under input device drivers and is titled "creative labs integrated webcam"

Web cam on latitude e6500

I have same problem. I downloaded the latest webcam driver, installed it. Everything is fine, in the device manager the device are present. But when i try to load the webcam application from dell the device is not present or not installed appear.
Notice: if I try the YM webcam, the device work properly - that's mean the device driver is OK.
So the E6500 is a beautiful great notebook, with poor software.

Web cam is not working, driver installation can not complete. what should I do? Dell inspiron 1545 Vista

Try using the Webcam Manager. If you are not able to fix the problem using the Webcam Manager that already installed in your Laptop, you need to uninstall it and reinstall again. To do so, try the following.

To install the correct Webcam software, you need to first update the drivers. Go to Control Panel, select “Devise Manager”, choose “Imaging Devices”, double click “Integrated Webcam”, select the “Driver” tab on the top and click on “Update Driver” option. Once you double click on this option, it runs and bring all that devices installed in your laptop. You can see the message “Application already installed in your computer”. In the bottom, you can find a message as “For Reinstalling Dell Webcam Central Software”. Click on this option to reinstall that, you will be required to reboot again. After this, you can find the option “Dell Webcam Central” in your “Start” button. Click this option and wait, it will bring the icon in the right hand side of the system tray screen. That’s it, you can double click on the icon and open it.

Hope this helps.
