Question about Kyocera FS- 4000DTN Laser Printer
Hi, we have a Kyocera FS 4000 DN printer that stops after printing about 40 to 50 pages, gives a paper jam message but there's no actually paper jam, just need to open the cassette door, then close it, it will keep printing for a while, then same thing happens again, opens the paper tray, close it, keeps printing, stop... you get the story... anyone have seen this issue before?
Try the feed tires in the tray first. More than likely the paper is not being picked up and causing jam message. The separation roller also has a hub on it to prevent a second sheet from feeding. Sometimes these start to lock up ,a little oil on the hub sometimes relieves some of the tension.

The error indicates -
Engine PWB EEPROM error Detecting engine PWB EEPROM communication error.
Causes - Improper installation engine PWB EEPROM. Check the engine PWB EEPROM installation,
- Defective engine PWB. Replace the engine PWB
IF turning the printer off and unplugging then plugging back in and turning back on doesn't correct the problem I would suggest you contact an authorized Kyocera service center such as www.gfbm.net.
