Your screen may have either burnt out or became disconnected somehow. Sometimes, it's as simple as a connector coming loose from its port; other times, however, there's physical damage to the wires/connector/port. I'd contact the manufacturer to troubleshoot it as far as it can go on the phone. I assume that they'll either figure it out right there, or follow their protocols and (assuming it's covered in the warranty) have you send it to them for diagnostic steps. The other alternative is to simply call a professional.

Hi, I've got a plasma LG 50PB5600 - ZA If I turn the tv on after being out of power for long time, it may come up with a picture and stays for ages. Once I try to change chanel or something the screen goes...

Plasma TV's are no longer available. Even if you decide to repair....at minimal you will need to replace three boards. Power supply, buffer boards and sometimes a Y board. At its best it may operate for three months and go down. This TV has served its purpose. Shop new. Thanks for asking, Matt of Martins TV Repair.

My LG plasma is black in the left corner that fades into the picture. The remainder of the screen is faded and has a lot of reds and pinks. There is sound and you can make out the images on the screen but...

If you have the same probleme on every chanel and even other sources like DvD.
Then your TV has a serious problem either on the motherbord that controls the image or the Plasma matrice itself.

In this case there will be only one thing to do, contact your retailer or directly the LG customer support.

Hope this helps

Vertical black lines. But they are not solid. lg plasma 42pc3dv

This could be a poor connection with the LVDS cable which runs from the main video processing board to the screen, or a fault within the video processor on the main board. Worst case scenario is it could be a fault with the screen itself.

42 inch LG Plasma TV - Lost picture

Our LG 50" plasma tv screen went black after a popping noise but still had sound, after great diliberations decided to take the back off and have a peek!
We unplugged the tv and tested the fuses (there were three we could see) one had blown, the one on the left as you look at the back of the tv it also has one above it. We wrote the code/seriel number down and took the fuse to the electrical wholesalers Maplin and bought a pack of 10 fuses for £1.29 replaced the fuse in the tv and everything now fine!!!!!!
Hope this might be of use to anyone whose lost the picture after a loud popping/snacking noise but still has sound.
