Question about Panasonic NN-S254BF Microwave Oven

Sharp carousel convection/grill/microwave maybe R990

When using grill or convection , oven goes through pre-heat then fan stops and display shows chosen temperature. normally it will beep and display will ask to ADD FOOD.
pressing start again just begins pre-heat cycle again

Hello :

This happens because of a bad door switch . The plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door .

Check also the turntable . It could be out of it's right place .

WARNING :

1:Don't slam your microwave door because this may cause the fuse to blow and this is the reason of bad door switch problem .
2: A microwave is capable of giving you a serious electrical shock even when it's unplugged , so I recommend you to call a repair technician for help .

Sharp microwave stopped working
Is it totally dead? No display? Or just does not cook? If it made an unusual noise before it 'died' something probably shorted out.... You need an ohm meter to troubleshoot. If the fuse is open, switches and HV circuit need to be checked before replacing fuse. Sometimes on the convection Microwaves (not just Sharp) the fuse will 'rust' and open rather than blow. Or the fuse holder can over heat and fail.
