Sprint TP2 with no data

I have no data!! I've searched everywhere and tried every suggestion I can find before posting up. I've got the Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2 so I tried with and without the SIM, nothing works. I've tried deleting the data.img file and starting that from scratch, nothing... I've tried different versions of the rootfs.img as I've seen recommended, nothing...
Originally it was starting in airplane mode but after several boots, that stopped. When I hold the power button, it says airplane mode is off and Mobile network is on. When I go to setting/wireless & networks, I scroll to mobile network it is checked but it says ''disconnected because the radio was turned off''. The movile networks option beneath to set the options is blacked out. I check the box next to the top mobile network and it opens the box to be connected to the internet. I click it again and it sais that it is turning it on but it never does. I've reformated the SD card. I've even done a complete reset of EVERYTHING on the phone. I needed to make sure that nothing that was already there was potentially blocking it. I'm usually so good at figuring this stuff out.

The latest that I got from it was ''process android.process.acore is not responding''. That message popped up the last time I booted into it. It then asked if I wanted to force or wait for a response. Selecting either option did nothing to give me 3g access.

Have I tried everything? Is there no way for me to be able to use Android? It makes me sad cuz I like the OS but it is pointless for me to use it if it makes my phone no longer a phone... Please help!!

Try to unlock your htc network with htc touch pro2 unlock code. Don't worry you still can use your old sprint sim card after your htc unlocked. It just my suggestion maybe this work since this method will unlock all network setting.

Well, this is obviously not an Android handset. however I have a TP2 on Sprint and run Android as well and I get data and wifi.

I would suggest going back to the forums where the developers are working on this stuff (ie: ppcgeeks dot com, etc) and grab a newer copy.

your inquiry is obviously not supported but it does work (with GPS too). There's still no main speaker nor camera, etc but I can totally get/ use data, google maps (sucks without sound but whatever).

you likely know you can also update your OS to WM6.5 and the new Bing has navigation integrated and it's actually pretty good

Full instrouctions on how to flash sprint htc evo 4g lte to stright talk

You can't flash a CDMA phone(HTC EVO 4G LTE on Sprint(CDMA network) to a GSM network(Straight talk which is on T-Mobile's network(GSM network) the hardware is not interchangeable. A GSM SIM card is not the same as a 4G LTE SIM card(UUID) they store different data. GSM SIM hold your carrier account information that authorizes you to use the network while a UUID only hold data that is relevant to you accessing the 4G LTE part of the network the remainder of your carrier data is stored on the phone hardware.

How do i flash my htc incredible to my boost mobile service

You'll have to call them and see if they'll do it. Problem is. Yes Boost is owned by Sprint. However. They refuse to offer any support and flashing of phones. Why? I don't know.
I've had quite a few Sprint phones, tried to activate to my account, and they refused everytime.
Good luck. I hope they do it for ya

Hi, I have a Sprint HTC EVO 4G phone. I have version 2.2 software and I am trying to upgrade to 2.3. When I try to upgrade my phone freezes. I've tried to upgrade several times but all my phone...

The fact that your phone is rooted voids the warranty and leaves you out in the cold with Sprint. If you can revert your phone back to factory settings ( backup first) you should be able to upgrade to the new OS, re-root your device, then re-upload your backup with the 2.3 OS in effect

Good Luck!

My sprint htc 4g is locked an I forgot the pin an the google acc info an I need to get into it for work info.

Try to go to www.gmail.com and recover your password. If you have absolutely no way to recover your password, the only other way to be able to log into the phone again is by doing a hard reset - which will, unfortunately, erase all data on your phone.

Cant connect to the internet using sprint 3g

Usually a restart should clear this up. Be aware that 'Ev' means 3G on the HTC hero.

Htc 6800

There is an extensive literature for unlocking and modding the htc 6800 Mogul to other service providers. Modding means extending the Moguls's capabilities way beyond what was even offered by Sprint and the native HTC firmware.

Search these sites:

www.forum.ppcgeeks.com - saw info here on converting sprint mogul to MetroPCS with full features intact.
