A couple of things did you reset the lamp timer? Sometimes if the panel door lamp is open or not closed you will not be able to power up. Have you tried removing the lamp and reseating it? Perhaps the fuse is blown...you will need to remove the cover and look to see. fuse should be located in the area of where you plug the power cord again you will need to remove the power cord.

Runco cl-610 projector

Likely the fan blades are dirty and out of balance. If this projector is in a dusty or smoky place you will need to clean them (or have them cleaned by a tech) often. If you are not good with electronics, I suggest taking it to a dealer. If you can get the covers off properly, you will need use a can of compressed air to carefully blow out the projector and fan blades.

I have no power to my runco cl-710 projector.... no lights will come on regardless of the power cord I use. I have made sure the lamp cover is on securely and correct. any ideas?

The capacitors on the power supply need to be replaced. When you take apart the projector, and then remove the power supply (it's the section that the power cord goes to) and open it up. Look for the little can capacitors and see if any of them are bulging on top. That is the sign that they've blown. Replace the big ones (about 5) for about $5 in parts. Reassemble and test by turning it on. Search for YouTube video. This is an easy repair.

My Runco CL-410 projector runs for about 30-45 seconds, then the lamp turns off. The hour meter says it has 471 hours on it. Any ideas?

Look inside the lamp. If you look into it if you see any white build up at its base, replace it. Need help, let me know.

Reset lamp timer runco vx-5000

Using the remote control for your projector, turn the unit on, then select 'menu' on the remote. On the menu that pops up in the screen, select 'SERVICE', then 'DISPLAY DEVICE', then 'INSTALLATION'... once you select that, scroll over to the "RESET" under the lamp hours... this should reset it.

Here is a link to the owners manual for your unit.

Need to adjust from full screen to wide screen on Runco SC3050

You need to use the remote, press the Menu button... on the menu that pops up on the screen, use the remote to scroll down to where it says "aspect ratio", and then select enter.

From that menu, you can select all the different aspect ratios that your Runco can perform.

Here is a link for the owners manual, straight from Runco.

Projector problem

I have a great deal of experience with that projector in particular.
The burning smell along with the circle on the screen can be one of two thing in the same general area. Both are not good.
The lamp assembly has its own dedicated cooling fans. these fans can sometimes **** in dust and insects. the lamp runs at a very high temperature and can burn those things quickly. I have often found old lamps with particles fused to the glass.
The other situation is that the lamp burned something and it got stuck to the glass somewhere in the light path.
if I remember right the projector monitors the temprature of the bulb and will shutdown if it gets too hot.
Runco is based in california and has a great turn around time on projectors. Unfortunately with Runco you would be hard pressed to find a technician that wouldn't just send it to them for repairs anyways. The major down side with Runco is that customers cannot talk directly to engineers or service men.
Locate a Runco authorized retailer in your area, check runcoes site. and give them a call to see if they cant send it to runco for you. if you cannot find one in your area call Roscor or Blair & Associates in Chicago.
