Fading cartridge problems

I have a lexmark P6350. My problem started when I replaced the two cartridges. The little monitor didn't recognise them (even though they were lexmark) and show empty. I have tried the usual head cleaning, unplugging etc. and have even changed the cartridges but still the same. The print fades after about two pages. Please can you help

    Hi

I am experiencing a similar problem.

Have purchased new PC with Vista, adn managed to download the drivers etc to make my Lexmark P6350 work. However, the pages fade after a couple of pages....not so bad on the black ink, but the colour print almost disappear.

I too have tried cleaning, alligning & changing the cartridges, but nothing seems to work.

    Can anyone help?

    Many thanks

That printer is pretty old. Are you selecting "Best" quality when you print or is it possible that some documents are being printed in Quick Print mode (which puts less ink on the page)? If you're doing the same thing on each print job but the print quality changes, there's definitely a problem. If you're printing from web pages, the print quality may be a factor of the design of the pages. If you print two pages of a multi-page document and quality declines, you should be able to get help through Lexmark's technical support.

Error 1109

The error could be due to a cartridge problem. Please follow the steps below to identify and fix the problem:

1. Make sure the printer is on.

2. Open the printer cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-in-One is busy.

3. Remove both cartridges from the carrier.

4. Close the printer cover.

5. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.

6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.

7. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.

8. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.

9. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new cartridge.

When we start printing, the catridges are not coming to center ,by the way printing is not taking place

Try to make a copy using the Copy button on your Lexmark printer's operator panel and see if it prints. This will help us determine if there's a hardware fault. If you get the same problem, try to remove the cartridges from your printer. Unplug and replug your printer into the power source to reset it. When your printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges. Try to print again. If that doesn't help, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance. Thanks.

Error Code 1102 on Lexmark P6350 Printer

Hi, it seems that it's a cartridge problem. That's the most probable reason why you're getting that error code. Try this out.
1. Remove cartridges.
2. Unplug printer from power outlet.
3. Then, plug printer back in power outlet after 10-15 seconds.
4. Reinsert cartridges.
If error still appears, redo steps 1, 2 and 3. Then, insert black cartridge first. If error appears, replace black cartridge. If not, insert color cartridge, if error appears, replace color cartridge. Hope this helps.

I keep getting a message saying Install a color print cartridge on right side. There is one installed and I have tried changing it but it still won't recognise that one is there.

When the print cartridge contacts are dirty and the printer cannot detect/communicate with print cartridge.

Clean the contact points on the cartridges with a dry, lint-free cloth.

1. Open the top cover of the printer.

2. Remove the print cartridges.

3. Clean the copper-colored contact points on the cartridges with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture from the contacts.

5. Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

6. Close the top cover.

7. Try printing again.

If you still cant communicate try with new cartridge .

Hope this help. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

Ink cartridge cannot be recognised

My solution is not to take the word of cack-handed amateurs like the one who suggested the eraser technique - this is just Canon holding us to ransom by making us buy their overpriced consumables. I would rather there were no fancy electronic monitoring systems - give me the good old days when there was no (expensive, ironically adding to the sky high cost) technique other than to know your print was fading.

LexMark P6350

go to---- lexmark solution center option ---- by clicking the ---printing preferances option ---- in that select the ---new cartridge installation option or change cartridge option---- in that option you select the proper number of your cartridge and it will ask whether it is new or old let the cartridge refilled or used or any you should always select the option new cartridges.then it will detect the cartridge and u will be able to print the colour from the cartridge.

Accept anyway. This is a problem with vista - it wants to assign it's own driver and doesn't like outside software such as Lexmark's.
