I have a 47" inch lcd sanyo t.v. and my kids accidentally shot it with an air-soft gun. and there is a crack where the pellet hit and there is also a crack running down that spot. Also the screen has these lines running up and down the screen. Different colors. and i was wondering if it was possible to fix.

How much does picture tube for 42 inch flat screen Sanyo TV cost

There is no picture tube in a modern flat screen TV.
And unless it's physically broken, it's usually something else that has failed and not the screen.
A picture tube is a CRT (cathode ray tube) that sends electrons from the back to the front to light up different color phosphorous dots.
A modern flat screen TV on the other hand is LCD (liquid crystal display) that turns on and off to allow backlighting through multi colored filters. (LED TV also uses a LCD screen, the only difference is the backlighting is LED and not fluorescent lamps.)

Please help

The screen is broken and can be replaced . likely though it will be cheaper to replace the tv. Mfc warranty will not cover this. Sorry.

My lcd tv was knocked over repair man says it cant be fixed due to the tube being damaged is this right

If your lcd appears broken when you turn it on if there are cracks visible, the cost to repair would be beyond the value of the tv. I have attached the retail price for a new screen from a Philips supplier.

Using Powerpoint ande showing on 47 inch tv screen - it does not cover entire screen what do I need to do to get it to do so?

I dont think it is a problem with your tv but more towards your video card. The video card can only handle a certain resolution to be projected on a screen. However, you max resolution your card puts out may not be compatible with the resolution that your tv can display. Try going into your video card settings and change the display resolution till your tv detects a compatible one. This can be found most of the time in the lower right hand corner of the screen where running programs are found.

The screen on my 47" LG TV is smashed due to

Nothing that a new screen won't fix. Problem is the price will be more than the replacement cost for a new TV.
Have a look on the manufacturers web site for an authorised repair workshop that will give you a price.

I have a Sanyo 46 inch flat screen hdtv purchased from walmart aug. 31rst, 2008. Sure enough, 13 months later my tv is having picture problems and getting worse. It started having portions of the screen...

I have the same problem, my television is faded black on the left side with lines on the left top side. I have had the 46 inch unit for 1 year and 7 months. I am planning to write a demand letter to Sanyo and then taking them to small claims court woth evidence that this is a common problem with their units that they know about and is not trying to remedy. Also the Attorney general in Texas should have an interest in them (Walmart and Sanyo) selling these defective proucts in the state.

Cracked screen

The screen in your TV is not easy to change. The cost of the screen alone will be very close to the purchase price of a new set.

KDS-R50XBR1 has a yellow hue in the lower right hand corner of the screem

Hi JimmyDeps

If there is a yellow hue I would guess that this a LCD TV right ?

Which means that the blue LCD has gone and will have to be replaced.
