Can i bypass the dump switch on my patio heater

Jerry, not recommended (found this out through Googling "dump switch patio heater what for")
Apparently a dump switch is a safety cutout (I think a tilt switch is the same thing) that will cut the gas supply if someone knocks the patio heater over . It's not manually operated, it probably has something like mercury in it, so that the "switch-off" circuit is completed when the heater is tilted to a certain angle and the gas cuts off. Check links below to see why not to modify heater safety dump switch. press the helpful button

My brand new patio heater wont turn on

To get your patio heater to light first check the tank has plenty of LPG/gas and the regulator is turned to on. Next turn the gas control knob to pilot (on some heaters this is a red line on others it has a spark symbol) and press in - hold for at least 30 secs. Press the piezo ignitor several times and continue to hold for another 60 secs. Gently ease off the pilot to release and turn to full power. You should hear the gas jet come on. If there is air in the pipes you might have to repeat. Fould this site very useful patio heater top repair tips.

How to change a thermocoupler for a Bluerhiono charmglow patio heater?

Hi, All patio heaters are not the same, the thermocouple can be wired up in several different ways. If you have a branded BFX750 or BFX770 patio heater it is a simple task but for a Bluerhino heater you will need to ask the supplier for instructions.

The lid on our Endless Summer Patio Heater 200209 is bent. Can it be fixed? If not, where can I purchase a replacement?

If you are referring to the heat deflector top on the upper most portion of the heater. yes, it can be repaired , if it is not to severely bent. It would require removing it from the heater to straighten it. If the metal is creased, it's not worth repairing.

Blue Rhino is the manufacturer for Endless Summer Patio Heaters, as well as several other brands. You can contact them for replacement parts @ 1.800.762.1142
