I own a velodyne Hgs- 15x. I am trying to replace the driver. I have removed all the screws and still unable to get the driver removed. Can someone please tell me what to do in order to remove the driver?
The driver has a soft foam rubber gasket behind it. It can act like glue on the driver.
Taking the driver out will tear up this gasket, always does, so don't worry about that.
You can try to lever the driver out. Use care not to scratch the baffle.

Try www.partsexpress.com. You may find an even more capable driver than your original if you read the full specifications of the driver sizes that will fit the cabinet. Factor in your cabinet volume, amplifier RMS and peak wattage and you'll likely find what you're looking for.
This sub uses the same amp the HGS units have. The pre-amp is a lot like the HGS units as well.
The only place you will find to service the unit will be Velodyne.
My guess is that you will need to send the amp section to them.
It is easy to remove, just make sure to mark the speaker leads before you remove them.
For the auto on function.
You may have a low signal to the sub.
If your source has adjustments for the sub output, try setting it up a number or two. Then use the volume control on the subs amp to mach your main speaker volume.
