My power cord does not stay charging while plugged in. Normally I hear the beeping as it conects and disconnects, up to 20 times a minute. Do I have a bad power cord? Is the best result just to purcharse a new one. When I bought the computer 8 months ago I did not have the problem. About a month ago it started and about 2 weeks ago it got so bad that my computer runs out of battery life while still plug in. Please help.

That's a short in the power input section of the motherboard- I've found, much to my dismay, that the power input/charging circuit on these laptops is not a separate circuit board as it is on some other models, but is a small area of the motherboard itself. You'll either need to have someone repair the motherboard or replace it entirely.
