Can i use a usb connection to transfer video from my gs-250 to a pc?

The humax DTR doesn't have that option even though it has a USB port, it's not possible to transfer video files that way.

Yes, you can transfer the videos from the Camcorder to the Mac Computer.

Connect the Camcorder to the Mac Computer using i.LINK/Firewire or USB cable.

I suggest that you use the i.LINK/Firewire cable to connect it to the Computer. The i.LINK port is also called IEEE 1394 or Firewire port. An i.LINK is a black D shaped connector with 4 or 6 pins. The type of cable to be used will depend on the i.LINK port of your Computer.

After connecting the Camcorder to the Mac Computer, open the iMovie Application to capture the Videos from the Camcorder and follow the on-screen instruction to complete the transfer of the videos.

The Panasonic NV gs 15 can only be used as a webcam with the USB cable.
You need a 1394 firewire / DV cable to transfer the video to your pc.

Your camera has a 4 pin port on the side of it next to the USB port.....depending on the type of firewire connector on your computer will determine what type of 1394 cable you will need to connect the PC to the camera. Your computer could have a 6 pin or 9 pin connector (I'm betting it has a 6 pin). Get a 1394 cable that is 4 pin to 6 pin and you should be able to connect the two together....that's how I did it with my tower PC and to my laptop with a firewire PCMCIA card.

first of all you should have your cd driver came with camcorder and as far as i know your driver isnt compatible with vista so better try to use windows xp. install the driver, plug your camcorder using your usb. upload your videos from your camcorder to your pc using ULEAD MOVIE MAKER. edit it and save it with any various types of videos. finish!

I connected with USB and used MS Movie Maker. The sw that came with the camera only transferred still pictures.

The only Analog camcorder that has a USB Connection for transferring pictures or video is the SC-L770. The SC-L770 can transfer video (live or recorded) and still photos through the USB connection. Some other Analog Camcorders have a snapshot mode which allows you to take a still photo with your camcorder. Some capture cards have analog a/v inputs which will allow you to use the a/v outputs on the camcorder to connect to your pc and transfer images and video. You can purchase a capture card at most computer and electronics stores. Samsung does not support capture cards.

You need to connect your DV socket (the one next to the USB ) via firewire to your PC. If you don't have one on your PC you'll need to install a firewire card. You will also need Video editing software. If you have XP the windows movie maker should work.

Hi I have figured it out. Even if the USB 2.0 is faster than the firewire the camcorder itself do not transfer at the optimal speed when connecting with the USB (even id the USB can transfer faster). So the only fast transfer option is the firewire
