Try to boot the PC without the XP Home CD in the CD drive, and
keep pressing the F8 key until it comes up with a boot menu that
includes a Safe Mode option.
If you had the XP Pro CD I'd suggest doing a recovery, but XP Home doesn't have that option I don't think.
You may have to try a few times until the boot menu appears. Don't hold the F8 key down - keep pressing it!
When you get into Safe Mode, right click on My Computer and choose
Properties. Then go to Hardware tab (i think - not in winXP right now)
and choose device manager. Just remove the Video Card from the list
altogether, and then restart. Should force it to use generic video card
drivers.
then check your video card model and look for the updated driver
Hi,
u found new hardware when u bootup u r system that is u r Sound Card u need Proper Drivers to wok it .please Go to IBM site & select proper drivers for u r OS
If u want some link please use below link for geting Sound drivers for u r Laptop.....
usually when installation of windows fails is from more than one reason and lets hope that ur hard drive is not damaged (contains bad sectors).
try these steps :
1- use a different windows cd and a different cd rom if u can find one.
2- change the sequense of drives by changing their jumper positions and data cables ( master, slave)
3- try to clear cmos with the jumper located usually near the mainboards battery (short it for 3 seconds)
4- try ( low-level format) to ur hard drive and reinstall windows.
if the message is still seen then your hard drive could be seriously damaged.
after installing my win xp system
no sound get from my coputer
