Washing machine is really loud

We took off the back panel and the part that makes the washer spins has leaked some type of fluid out and when you manually spin it, it is very loud. The washing machine works, but this part needs to be replaced. Has anyone else had this issue?

It sounds as if the inner water seal has failed and allowed water to get into the bearings.. Rust on the bearings means they are no longer smooth..Hence the noise! Replacing the bearings (and possibly the shaft) is a big job. This is not an unusual problem with front lad washers. Too much detergent will shorten the life of the seal/bearings...Get quotes...Nomess

Duet washer making a loud noise on spin cycle, it squeaks on low spin and then when it gets up to high speed, it is really loud. What could this be?

In most cases it is something that is sticking between the drum and the housing. Check inside the boot by the door. If that is not helpful move the drum by hand and listen to see if you can locate the area of the noise.

Frequent out of balance problem

All front-load washing machines have shock absorbers that are used to dampen the tub movement in the spin cycle. The shock absorbers or struts are attached to the base frame and to the outer tub and you will need to remove the front panel or the rear panel to access them. When shock absorbers weaken or become damaged, the machine will often make a loud banging sound during the spin cycle and if the symptom is not corrected, can lead to damage of other components. Inspect the shocks for signs of broken attachments, leaked fluids or a weakened dampening action and replace both shocks if worn. Remove power from the appliance before attempting this repair.

Loud noise during spin cycle now they are stacked

a loud noise comes when you forget to remove shipping bolts after installation or if the shocks are worn out it makes noise thirdly the bearings might be worn out if the washer is more than 6years old

Those 6 springs are pretty tough to get back on there without the special tool
other than that it all goes back pretty easy.

If you rotate the pulley on the back of the drum does it rotate the drum? i have seen these snap the back of the drum off. also they can have issues with the controller board for the motors which would require a technician to determine.

Amana washing machine makes loud noice when trying to spin

sounds like you are dealing with the same problem as me .
take off the front panel (after unplugging power) take a flash lite and look at the large pulley at the back just below the pulley is the helix check to see if they are worn .
