Panasonic TH-42PHW5 Plasma TV bought new in 2003 The color really went dull with a green hue. I tried adusting the color and hue controls, but not much luck. I set the hue all the way to red. It seems to have lost it's luster and sharp colors. Do you have any ideal as to why this has happened and how to fix it. Howard

Why is the picture getting a green hue on and off instead of the normal color?

This may be caused because your color and other settings may not be set according to your needs. Try resetting the color, brightness and contrast with the help of your remote. If your set is new and within warranty period you can have a free checkup or replacement from the company.

Color is off

Go to MENU on your original remote. Select VIDEO and adjust color.

If you are using certain cables (3 separate cables for video signal), you may have a bad connection on one. Try plugging your cable tv cable directly into the TV to see if it improves.

Last option is a rare color board issue in the TV that needs to be fixed (or replace the TV)

Sony 60" HDTV Plasma WEGA....Picture Problem

Sounds like your component cables may have come off its contact point. Check to see if your cables have become loose. Pushing them back in place should take care of that but check at the source output and the TV's input. Red Green Blue, when ever one of these 3 come out of contact the TV will produce a color hue relevant to what color remains in contact, looking faint and discolored. If you do find a loose cable connection, inspect the contact ends and squeeze lightly to restore a snug fit but don't do it to hard or you may damage the prongs.
