Image and text printed multiple times and are overlapping

Printhead cleaning is perfect. Printhead Alinement's perfect.
But when I print documents or photos the words or image are printed multiple
times and overlapping. The middle line is dark, then with the same information reprinted above and below printed lighter like shadows. When printing is finished the printer won't fully expel the paper sometimes causing a paper jam.

    I'm having the same issue.

Parts of the printouts look okay and other parts are printed multiple times.
I too have cleaned all the print heads and nozzles etc. Please let me know if the download of the new print driver helped.

Is the R1800 the only printer that you have on ythis mac?

If it is make sure it is directly connected to your mac via a USB or Firewire cable.

Trash epson folder from Mac HD-Library- Printers
Delete Epson printer utility from Mac HD- Application folder( if you have both delete both icon.

Under prnter setup utility delete the r1800 printer

Go to finder click on file the find, type com.apple.print, if it find anything drag it all on the trash, it will not disappear from the window ( the prefs and . cache files)

download the latest driver for your r1800 from epson website
epson12113.dmg - 10.3MB - posted on 12/20/

then reinstall it, after reinstalling try to readd th printer and make sure under print using it will say Epson SPR1800 series. If you see guten print/ that is a third party driver. dont use the gutenprint. then try to print, update me for the outcome

Cleaning kit print head canon Image prograf 710

I have always cleaned prinheads leaving them on a saucer with warm water for some time. Preferably, deionized water if it is a problematic printhead. I expect the cleaning kit is something of the sort. But Canon ipf 710 seems to have a fixed use time, having the printer rejecting the printhead after exacly one year use even if it is in perfect conditions. Try to make print test in service mode before you use up all your ink in useless cleanings.

Poor color printing

It means that the printer is not spraying properly all colors.

If the bar are regular, that means that the printhead is blocking the spry at regular times intervals.

Sometimes this problems is related to the printhead.

You find out if it is a faulty printhead by removing it, leaving in in isopropyl alcohol overnight or replacing it.

If printhead is fine then it is a problem with the control board.

WILL ONLY PRINT EVERY ALTERNATE LINE OF TEXT & TEXT BOX BORDERS

Doesn't sound like your printer hardware. Try printing something other than your text document. If the page comes out clean/perfect then it means your printer is having a problem understanding your text document via print program translation. Otherwise try converting your text to pdf and print a sample page, if it works then again problem with software/printer translation.

Each line of text is printing multiple times, lines overlap, and printing

Hello. That's an alignment problem in the printer. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Clean the nozzles using a damp paper towel. But, if it's possible, try to use new cartridges. Unplug the printer from the power source. Plug it back in after 10-15 seconds. When the printer's ready, re-insert the cartridges. Let it print an alignment page all the way through.

When you print photos you print in Max dpi, for this no faded lines anywhere. Probably you have a problem only in black color in print head.

Test page prints fine, but nothing else does

You need a new printhead, QY6-0049-000 around $40.00. Your printhead has worn out or plugged nozzles and cleaning won't help.

Ip90 printer does not print blac on a test after

Sounds like the printhead is plugged on the black side. A new printhead is #qy6-0052-000 around $40.00. That model also needs a firmware update to help it clean the printhead better.

I have deep cleaned print head several times.

For pavster:

There may be multiple reasons why your prints are blank. To resolve this problem, we have an easy Step-by-Step Solutions and Repair tool.

Within the tool, select Print quality, then Blank prints. .

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/repair/troubleshooting/troubleshooting.jhtml?pq-path=10355

For nana3511:
Clean the printhead, then print a demo sheet.
  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
  3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Printhead Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo and Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet.
Is the Demo printout giving the same result?

If so, you may need to replace the printhead. This is a very common problem with this model.
You have to contact Kodak to be sent a new printhead to fix the problem. You click through the support on Kodak and then they automatically send out a new print head. To get the link to this on-line support chat with the live tech support and they can direct you where to go to find this solution.

Kodak 5300 series printer/is not printing black and white that is legiable

There is a known problem with premature failure of the printhead. I called Kodak support at 1-800-421-6699. They will go through a short procedure with you, and then should offer to replace the print head free of charge. After I called (no wait, and an native English speaking operator), I received the replacement in two days.
