My razor phone won't let me do anything

Motor or the electronics probably overheated. Open an check for burned components if you dont' find anything then it's the motor.

it depends if you are new to technology or not .a droid is better of you want more freedom like texting from your computer. iphones are better if you want the most common apps first

I would get a new phone. I would at minimum get all your pictures and phones copied off the phone because the phone is in a downward spiral. It is probably cheaper to get another RAZR than it would be to repair this one. These phones are very popular and you can find them cheaper than fixing one with this problem.

You didn't specify how old you model is.
Generally I would say, the battery is failed.
You might try taking it to whereever you bought it and politely ask for a replacement. Its also a good idea not to leave these in cars during sub freezing weather.

dont touch on anything for approx. 20 seconds after the phone reads "the time is being updated". Like computers, phones need time to load all of your settings so just be patient for those 20 seconds. If you do try and open an application (such as messaging) it will say 'initializing...' and you will have to wait longer. its not that hard to figure out i have an impression and i love it.

Check your phone memory, not the removable memory card but the built in phone memory, see if it almost full, if thus then delete some data or much better transfer all your data to your memory card, if it has a memory card, if none then just delete some data.

your second option is try to remove your memory card (if ever it had), then start your phone with out it

just try it, no harm effect for your unit

Just format your phone by the following way
To Format the phone
1)Switch off the phone
2)Hold 3,* and Green button simultaneously
3)Now press the power button holding the 3 button, After 5 seconds leave the 3 buttons
4)You phnoe should say, formatting and all your data would be reset to factory orginal

CAUTION: You will loose all the data and contacts stored in phone memory, But this is the only way

I have had a lot of razor phones and they are good about sending you new ones when you have technical problems. I got my last one within a day from calling, and then you just send them back your old one. That could just be a glitch, they are good phones, but seem to have a lot of those.

Either the phone has a main board issue or some file corruption - hopefully for you its just the files that need to be reflashed.

If it's the board cost can be around $150-200 depending on the repair center - flashing costs $25-40
