Infocus 250 will not turn on at all.

Tested power source--that's not the issue. No response to power button; no fan noise, no lights, no nothing.

I had a similar problem (after repairing the power supply problem), turned out to be a loose connection from the DC power supply to the Bulb assembly. The cable is at the front of the board and the connection is next to the remote sensor lense.

Infocus in2124/in2126 projector keeps turning itself on. When it does you can't turn it off with the remote. What could cause this?

There are a few possible causes for a projector like the Infocus IN2124/IN2126 turning itself on and not being able to be turned off with the remote:
1. Remote control issues: Firstly, it's worth checking the remote control itself. Ensure that the batteries are fresh and properly inserted. Try replacing the batteries or using a different remote control to see if the issue persists.
2. Signal interference: Sometimes, external factors can interfere with the projector's remote control signal. Check if there are any sources of interference nearby, such as other electronic devices or strong light sources. Move these items away from the projector to see if it resolves the problem.
3. Faulty power button or control board: It's possible that the power button on the projector or the control board itself is malfunctioning. If the power button is not responding when pressed, it could indicate a hardware issue. In such cases, contacting Infocus customer support or a professional technician for further assistance or repairs may be necessary.
4. Firmware or software issue: Occasionally, a software or firmware glitch can cause unexpected behavior in electronic devices. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your projector model on the Infocus website. Updating the firmware can potentially resolve any known issues and improve overall performance.
5. Power supply issues: In some cases, fluctuations or problems with the power supply can cause erratic behavior in electronic devices. Ensure that the projector is connected to a stable and properly grounded power source. Consider trying a different power outlet or using a voltage stabilizer to rule out any power-related issues.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, it is recommended to reach out to Infocus customer support or consult a professional technician with expertise in projector repairs. They will be able to provide more specific guidance and troubleshooting steps based on your particular projector model.

Infocus projector makes a whistling sound then shuts off

The whistling is nothing but noise. You need to open the projector to confirm the source of noise. It can either be mechanical or electronic. Possibility of mechanical noise sources are colour wheel (a 4 colour wheel near the lamp), blower fans & exhaust fans. All these are rotating things. If any one of them is jammed, then so as to try to rotate at full speed creates noise. To reduce mechanical noise it is necessary to service them. Dust is one of the main reason. For electronic noise check SMPS (Switched Mode Power Supply) & lamp ballast (electronic choke). The electronic noise is a high frequency noise generated by such devices. Are you using the projector in dusty envionment?

My infocus IN1 projector won't turn on anymore.

Hi,
It may be the lamp is out. Normally a projector will try & fire the lamp 3-5 times then shut down with a different color light like amber or red. If the lamp doesn't light then it could be the lamp or perhaps the lamp ballast that starts the lamp has failed. A stuck fan also causes similar symptoms. There's 2-4 fans in the projector if one is stuck or bad it will turn off within 5 seconds or so after the lamp lights.
Does your lamp light at all? Are the lights a different color after it shuts down? Answers to these questions help figure out what's wrong though it's impossible to say for sure without looking at it. I service almost all Infocus projectors if you would like a quote please reply with your email address or write me at [email protected]
Good Luck,
Jim

Infocus X1a LONG startup times

Sounds like the power supply is weak if it has to run for awhile before it functions. The control board could also be the issue. Does it make any grinding or buzzing noises?

Hi LuckyLindy

Next time this happens , just take out the main connection to the Mainboard and plug it back in.

Also remember to reset your lamp timer now that you have replaced the lamp !

Only power button responds, nothing else

Hi there

This unit should still be under warranty - take it to your nearest InFocus dealer.

If no signal is picked up then the Mainbaord is faulty.
