Don't do anything your fan is just fine it's just running faster to keep it cool when you hear a clicking sound at high speed then you should be worried about it cause your fan is failing and should be replaced

I have a maytag dryer that sometimes when I hit the start button will start and run for only a few minutes and stop and wont start again for a while and does a humming noise when it does star why?

Sounds like the motor is going into thermal overload (Getting hot) it may be caused by the motor itself, or could be overloaded by bearings or fan etc

PS3 fan keeps making noise

If it's an older system, break that thing open and clean it! ^^ If it a newer system, or you just don't feel like stripping it to clean it, then use an air compressor to blow the crud built up in the back of the system. Make sure the compressor hose is dry, as you don't want water to get inside your system. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

Fan bearing dry. Lubricate shaft as close to fan body as possible as temporary fix. May need to renew fan soon.

I have a PS3 and it just started to make a really loud groaning noise when I first turn it on. It will only do it for about a minute and then it stops and runs fine. Why is it doing that?

Most computers and electronics are programmed to run the fans at full blast when you first turn it on, to clear out dust and purge the air inside. It sounds like one or more of your fans in jammed with dust. Some electronics repair stores will clean console fans for a fee.

I wouldn't say that this issue is a real problem right now, but having damaged fans can do serious damage over time by overheating your console. It's a problem best solved early.

Hp laptop dv9500 noisy and loud fan ...

The sound you are hearing is probably the fan, This fan has a noisy bearing and will eventually lock up and the fan will stop spinning and therefore the CPU will overheat and shutdown.
The fan needs to be replaced.

HEATER MAKING LOUD NOISES

Check the draft inducer motor for any partial blockages or dibri.

I've seen sticks, birds nest particles and pieces of deteriorating fan blades (squirrel cage type fans) cause this.

You might also find that the inducer motors bearing are going.

If its a loud vibrating grinding type noise, I'd suspect bearings or missing pieces of the blades. (unbalanced)
If it's a clanking type noise I'd suspect loose items hitting the fan.

The inducer motor will only operate right before and during burner operation, while the blower motor can operate at any time depending on your setting.

Loud humming noise as fridge is running

if you have ice buildup then the fridge may be low on freon.
or there is dust clogging around the pump or fan is not running.
remove the bottom or back and look around the compressor.
see that the fan is running.

Loud humming noise as fridge is running

Sounds like the freezer fan is rubbing some wires or possible some foam insulation around the fan. I would look into the freezer compartment fan and go from there. The fan Will Shut off when you open the doors. Let me know how you make out and if you need anymore help.

Thanks,
Bill
