What does the red and green light mean ???

What does the red and green light mean when they keep going on and off ...its a planet audio amp!!how do i fix it???plz

You most likely have a shroted FET in the amp. Could be shorted power supply FET, Output FET or driver FET or a combination of the above. Your best bet is to have a qualified technician repair it for you. Where do you live?

Red and green light? there is most likely a protection and a power light. The red I assume would either be a protection light or a clipping light signal. Does the amp kick off then these lights kick on red then to green?

disassemble check internal fuse or for burned track also recheck the antenna connection -the thing that powers the amp on.Use a multimeter to test different points to ground potential. the one that doesnt have it has the problem.

The amp in question is a very entry level amp. Meaning it needs to be ran at moderate ohm load. And have plenty of power to feed it. Check your grounds. Pos. Etc.

Protection light is on my REM 4300 planet audio amp
That means that 2 wires must have touched and the protection light came on to prevent further damage.. There is usually a reset button somewhere on the amp and pressing it should reset that light

Red protection light
make sure amp is not grounded out or shorted out like if u miss and touch ground to power or the other way around protect light usaully comes on be resets once u turn the amp power off then back on . if that don't fix it maybe ur amp needs some repairs inside.

You need to check your woofers. Most likely one or both may be a) blown or at a dead short or b) the ohm rating on them may be too low. What model woofers and amp do you have??

This amp is similar to many of the planet audio class D amplifiers. These amplifiers have quite a few problems. If the amplifier has failed, it needs to be serviced by someone who is familiar with the amplifier.

Do not repeatedly replace the fuses. It will lead to more damage and a more expensive repair.
