I installed my amp and subwoofer to my car the other day. after everything was installed it still didnt work. i checked with my voltmeter on the power cable and my ground cable and there was a circuit going through. but, when i did the same in the place of the fuses on the amp there was no visible current. does anyone know why my amp is not working or what i could do to fix this? i had it installed in another car before and it all worked but after a year and a reinstallation it does not work. :S

have you connected sub direct to rear speakers ? you need to connect direct to head unit for enough power or headunit to amp to sub dependant on wattage of the sub
pioneer head units only distribute like 200 rms or so to the speakers. you might have to find a blue maybe even blue with white striped wire and nick it just enough to tie your amp wire around it. tape it up and see if it works.
make sure that the amp is properly grounded, paint somtimes makes it hard for the wire to be grounded, scrape off the paint with a screwdriver or whatever. also make sure that none of the wire are crossed exept if that was done on purpose
From what i have heard, If you have a speaker level input connection. this sympton does occur. You buy a scosche LOC and try giving the input to Basslink, it should work fine
Sounds like the amps protect circuit is working, check speaker leads for shorts to ground, or the voice coil maybe shorting out in a speaker . Check with Ohmmeter or a installer. Sumthin
here is a short test you can try, remove the rca audio cable from the amp & connect a diskman or toher audio o/p device that you can hook up with the same rca wires, turn on the amp & see if you have sound. you can also remove the speaker wires from the sub & using multi meter read the ohm's of the sub, most subs are 4 ohm. Hope this help locate your problem
