Dishwasher is leaking where the fill hose attaches on the left side. Looks like we may be missing a tube or part or something from where it connects???
I have this same problem. The water runs over the connector on the tube. I tried to cover the opening with some hot glue but that didnt seem to work. The only other solution would be to reduce the water pressure going to the dishwasher. I also need some help with this. My dishwasher is a Magic Chef Model DU75CAI have this same problem. The drain check valve is in the first part on your drain hose, the part attached to the drain pump. You have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet . you will see the drain hose on the left side of the dishwasher. It is a whitish opaque plastic tube. Detach it from the pump and from the drain extension, a pan may be needed to catch remaining water. Carefully remove the loop from the plastic fill channel. Reinstall in the reverse order
My Miele 828 dishwasher started to leak at the front left corner. The leak became worse. I tipped the machine on its side and removed the rubber moulding connecting the base of the drum to the pump. I cleaned it out and refitted it finding two small coins inside. The leak persisted. I took off the top of the machine by unscrewing the two screws on either side and pushing the lid backwards. I switched the machine on and, with a torch could see that the detergent dispenser had detached from the delivery pipe under it. Using advice elsewhere on Fixya I undid the three bolts around the door and the three screws around the detergent dispenser; one is deeply recessed and easily missed. Than I unclipped the drain pipe behind the little door at the bottom left hand corner at the front. The front then hinges out from the left with hinges at the right side making the leaking connection easily accessible. Make sure you get the rubber flange well up the plastic tube as there is no flange on the tube to secure it. A possible design fault but the unit has functioned for ten years before the connection failed.
Your dishwasher may have a simple 'drain hose plugged' problem.
Check this first.
The drain hose leads out of the dishwasher to a drain, normally under
the kitchen sink. Pull this line from the dishwasher off its connection
on the drain (Nomally just a clamp of some sort) and make sure it does
not have something caught in the line, like a piece of food or something.
You could even shove a wire up the hose line after its off to make sure it
is not plugged farther up the hose line.
If this looks to be clear of abstruction, then you will need to pull the
dishwasher out of its cabinet position and inspect the underneath
of the dishwasher. If the line looks attached and no leaks or broken line,
then it may be the dishwasher pump it self that is faulty. One other thing to check
first before you call a repair man to replace the pump, is make sure you
have power to the pump. There should be an electrical connection
to the pump. Make sure it is attached, therefore power to the pump.
If it is not attached it may have just come lose, and it would be a simple fix.
OTHERWISE - - this ll fails, call your local service repair man to replace
the drain pump.
Ok if it only leaks while filling, and not while running, it is probably the fill hose that goes from the fill valve to the washer. This hose can be accessed by removing the lower kick plate (2-4 screws) look on left side you'll see your incoming copper tubing (or hose) and a larger hose with clamps on each end It may have vibrated a hole in it or be leaking at clamp. Another possibility is the fill valve itself is cracked and leaking only when the valve is on.
I doubt the H2O tank temp would have any affect... to fix the problem you will need to pull the unit out and replace the supply line from the valve to the elbow... I would recommend braided line.
If your talking about the fill tube that loops up the side of the unit it usually is just seperated at one of the fittings and can be pushed back intp lace or recalmped... otherwise you will have to purchase a new oem tube.
You are going to have to get a little crafty for this repair. The disposer had a knockout piece that the dishwasher attached to. Now you need to cover that opening. You will need to take a piece of cpvc and a dishwasher boot. You should be able to get these items from most hardware stores. You might get lucky and find a dishwasher boot that is soild on one end. Cut a short piece of the cpve pipe and glue a cap on one end. Then place it in one end of the dishwasher boot, take a hose clamp to seal that end. Place the other end over the opening on the disposer and hose clamp to seal.
You also could try to find a rudder stopper to fit in the opening of the disposer then duct tape it in place.
Here is the possible solution. The incoming water goes through the valve and then to the black hose going up on the left side of the dishwasher, the hose goes up then bends and it's end is just inserted on some kind of pocket. I think the end of the hose in your dishwasher just looseened and it spills water from this pocket. To fix it you need to pull the dishwasher just a little bit from under the countertop, (make sure to unsrew 2 screws up there) until you get access to the hose and then insert it deeper in the pocket. I would also attach the hose to the side of the dishwasher with the duct tape.
CHECK YOUR HOSES FOR CRACKS. BE SURE THEY ARE ATTACHED SECURELY TO THE PUMP OULET.
THERE IS ALSO A BLACK HOSE FROM THE VALVE THAT GOES UP THE LEFT SIDE TO A VACUUM BREAK ON THE SIDE OF THE TUB. BE SURE THE HOSE HASN'T BEEN DAMAGED OR DISCONNECTED. IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT SUPPLY HOSE, PULL THE DISHWASHER OUT OF IT'S INSTALLATION AND TURN IT ON. WATCH FOR WATER DRIPPING ON THE FLOOR AND TRACE IT BACK TO FIND THE PROBLEM.
My GE WSM2780DAWW stack set dryer and washer was encountering the same problem (water kept filling up not stopping). I saw this page, but the SOLUTION described didn't really draw a picture for me.
Here's how I fixed the leaking washer. Sitting in front of the washer I removed two small screws on the bottom left and right of the front panel. Then sliding the front panel DOWN, it comes off. This allows a view into the machine. Around the LEFT side of the wash basin you will find a white tube. This tube is about the diameter of a pencil. My tube was not attached, and when the wash basin filled up past the point where it should stop, water came out. Reaching around the side of the wash basin with my left hand I could feel where the white tube was supposed to connect properly. Then I attached the white tube. This fixed the problem.
I left the front panel off for a day to make sure it didn't continue to leak and also for the area to dry out.
I have this same problem. The water runs over the connector on the tube. I tried to cover the opening with some hot glue but that didnt seem to work. The only other solution would be to reduce the water pressure going to the dishwasher. I also need some help with this. My dishwasher is a Magic Chef Model DU75CA
