FRZ Temp lights, all of 9 bars on Controll Panels are flashing

I have Viking Pro (VCS483SS). The refrigerator is working well now, but temperature lights (9 bars on left side of controll panels) keep flashing after I touched something. I can't control temperatures lower or higher. I tried to power the refrigerator off and on then, but all 9 bars are still flashing and higher/lower temp buttons are not working. How do I reset the control panels?

SOURCE: I have a side by side Viking refrigerator and

Remove the center grill of the top grill and shut the power off and back on, the lights should reset

When the lights are working open the Ref door then close the freezer drawer, watching to see if the light in the freezer shuts off. It should shut off when the freezer is about 1" from closing. If it stays on until the door is fully closed then there is a problem with the light switch in the freezer.

Normally when you leave the doors open until the lights shut off, it should reset when both doors are closed

SOURCE: Viking Wine Cellar Temperature Near-Freezing

Viking wine coolers are made by Marvel. They all had issues with freezing the contents. If you replace the electronic cold control system it will be fine.If you don't, it will freeze the wine popping the corks and leaking in the unit.If you get the parts from Marvell they are much cheaper.

SOURCE: viking side by side makes very little ice

Your inlet tube that goes to the icemaker may be frozen. To Check: Shut off water supply to Fridge, disconnect the water line that goes to the icemaker at top back. Use a flexible item to insert in the water line connection. I used a zip tie. If the flexible item won't all the through to the ice maker, the line is frozen. Thaw out the tube from inside the freezer with a hair dryer. Re-connect everything, you now have ice . . . Solution #2: You may have to replace your "Water Inlet Valve" located at bottom right rear of Fridge. Easy to do, just follow the color codes, be sure and shut off the water.

How do we raise the temperature in our fridge and freezer?

Well, you didn't leave a model number, so I'll just give you the generic answer: If you keep pressing the Frz or Ref temp buttons, the temperature will cycle down to the lower limit and then pop back up to the upper limit and then repeat all over again. If not, look for up/down buttons, or +/- buttons.

Temp on upper is getting colder while freezer on bottom is getting warmer

Sounds like bad settings. Sometimes, the temp setting(sensed in ref area) controls runtime, and the frz setting adjusts a vent whuch passes air from frz to ref area. try raising frz setting.

Self Diagnostics
To enter Self Diagnostic mode, both temperature control panel displays must be illuminated. A display
can be illuminated by pressing an adjacent temperature adjustment button. When both displays are
illuminated, set the freezer and refrigerator temperature settings to 5. Simultaneously press and hold all
4 temperature adjustment buttons for approximately 3 seconds. A flashing 0 in the refrigerator and
freezer displays will indicate that the refrigerator is in Self Diagnostic mode.

For temperature control panels with single-digit displays, the COLDER temperature adjustment button
will increment the numbers up and the WARMER temperature adjustment button will increment the
numbers down. Use the freezer temperature adjustment buttons to enter the test code number in the
freezer display. Use the refrigerator temperature adjustment buttons to enter the test code number in
the refrigerator display. When a test code has been entered, the displays will flash to confirm the test.
Press the HOLD button for 3 seconds to begin the test.

Press Display on

then press and hold Max Frz and Display off, you should hear 3 beeps and the compressor should start.

It may also be that when you turned the unit off you hit the showroom switch that is located up behind the top grill, the power off switch is also in here.

The easy way to tell the difference is see which one turns the lights off, the showroom switch will not affect the lights.

With the lights on switch the other switch and leave it for 6 mins to see if the compressor, if not repeat.
